When Reunion Island-based duo Romane and Gaël Marimoutou put out their debut EP E In Motion, they did so under the enigmatic moniker OMA. It was an apt tribute to the couple’s art, an expression of organic soundscapes, folk-percussive layers, and French-pop vocals that defied genres. Now, mirroring the evolution of duo to trio with the birth of their son, OMA is reborn as Romane + Gaël, bringing to the forefront the relationship that made it all possible.
